Actions

How will it be done?

  • Introduce a spiral long-term curriculum to pupils recall key learning more regularly.

  • Further training for staff on intelligent practice that exemplifies how tasks can be constructed to sequentially change specific mathematical elements to highlight/practice key learning – focus on areas of mathematics other than number.

  • Maths manager/SENDCo to lead joint training on adapting intelligent practice to support pupils with SEND. How can small steps progress be assessed and used to inform task design?

  • Coaching support for teaching staff to implement modifications to their practice.
