The Infant and Junior Schools in Woolton Hill have long worked closely together, and by Federating we have created the best of both! The best that comes with dedicated infant and junior focused education, allowing both schools to specialise in the specific needs of that age group; and the best that comes from offering a full primary education with a continuous curriculum, shared facilities and consistent vision and values.

Teachers tailor their lessons to meet the needs of all pupils. They understand the learning needs of each individual child and their starting point, ensuring all children make great progress.

We make learning so exciting that even the most reluctant child can't help but get stuck in! Topics always start with a "hook" to ensure the children are engaged and excited to come to school and learn.

We are proud of our strong links with the local church; St Thomas Infant School as a Church School and Woolton Hill Junior School as Church Affiliated. This informs our shared values of Wisdom, Courage and Respect.

The children enjoy visits to the church for celebrations throughout the year - the infants, in particular, benefiting from their own private entrance to the church!

Outdoor Learning

We are quickly building a reputation for outdoor learning. With great facilities including a large, multi-use games arena, netball courts, a trim-trail and our newly constructed outdoor classroom.

Next year we are excited to launch our new outdoor learning curriculum, ensuring the children benefit from the wonderful local setting.

Our motto "Let your light shine" encapsulates how we want to nurture the talents of each and every child, to enable them to find their thing.

We want them to find the thing that let's their light shine, through academic achievements, as well as sporting success and enjoyment of the arts. We provide a number of clubs as well as entering local competitions with other schools.
