Another fantastic day in Minstead! With the sun shining, we went on a wonderful walk around the New Forest National Park. Along our walk we discovered our class trees - Hazel, Hawthorn and Rowan. We also found a variety of species of fungi as well as evidence of other wildlife. We were also lucky enough to see some of the
New Forest horses!
After a long walk, we enjoyed our picnic lunch at the study centre. After lunch we enjoyed creating some beautiful pieces of nature art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy and then some clay sculptures. We also transformed into Minibeast experts, where we went on a minibeast hunt in the Ancient Woodland. Here we discovered lots of worms, slugs, beetles, woodlice, centipedes as well as much more.
Ready for tomorrow, we have set some small mammal traps and wildlife cameras in the hope we can find out more about the wildlife that lives in Minstead.
We are finally finishing our fun-packed day we hot chocolate and a film night.
