All parents/guardians and staff of both St. Thomas Infants School and Woolton Hill Junior School are invited to attend the Friends AGM on 12th October at 7pm and vote on this proposal.
You should all have seen the post by Mr. Davies here providing context and rationale for the proposal to merge the Friends of Woolton Hill Junior School and the PTA of St Thomas' Infant School. Prior to the AGM, where there will be a chance to discuss these changes as well as to vote, we thought it helpful to provide a couple of documents in advance.
The first document sets out the rules that a merged "Friends Group" would follow, and will be voted on at the AGM if it is decided to proceed with a merger.
The second document is the Charities Commission merger checklist. This helps us consider everything we may need to think about. It's worth noting that this checklist covers all charities, small to very large. Some items here may be less relevant for us.
As a reminder, the Infant School PTA will also discuss these proposals at their AGM and the decision, obviously, requires both to vote in favour to move forwards.
