Children from across the Federation are being inspired to learn about the Sciences as part of ‘Science Week.’ The week began with a series of assemblies and workshops led by scientist & magician Dr. Matt Pritchard who has been inspiring the children with his knowledge and a fantastic science demonstration about the concept of time (the main theme of our Science week).
In addition, lots more science is being carried out across the Federation. Each class is carrying out at least 2 science investigations throughout the week – indoors and outdoors! They will be recording their work and taking photos – so do look out for the displays coming soon. The children are also thinking about what science actually is and what scientists might look like.
Pupils are learning about diversity in science and about famous scientists from different times and cultures - discussing their contributions to the world of science.
Mrs. Knapp and the librarians have organised a fab display of new science books for children to browse, from our school library.
Please chat to your children about their scientific experiences this week.
