Our School Councillors organised a very successful day of 'doing something funny for the money' to raise funds for Comic Relief and as a Federation we raised a whopping £488.06!
We were impressed with the efforts of all the children who entered the cake competition - the judging was a real challenge (as you can see from the photos here) for the school Councillors! Well done to those children who won or came as a runner up and a huge thank you to all who entered as this raised a lot of extra money from cake sales at the end of the school day.
At the juniors we also laughed at a lot of very funny jokes! Finalists from each class shared their best jokes to the whole school in assembly and we voted for the winners...it was a close run things with lots of laughs and high scores from our School Council judges! A huge well done to Harley.H (1st place), Jack.D (2nd place) and Ollie.B (3rd place).
Our junior School Councillors also organised and ran a range of active and fun games over lunchtime these tested children's throwing skills, memory and problem solving skills. Many of the games involved real FOCUS, our Life Learning theme this term, and children needed those now well honed skills to be successful. Children and staff enjoyed taking part and we had a lot of laughs along the way!
We are super proud of our School Councillors for all their hard work and dedication to make the day a success.
