This week our newly trained Reading Buddies started their new role working alongside children in EYFS (Hedgehogs class) to share books and support the love of reading whilst also developing vital language and communication skills! The Reading Buddies are all Year 5 children who have applied for the new role and been trained up to know how to supporting language and communication skills in young children.
The Reading Buddies and EYFS children seemed to all enjoy the sessions which will now run weekly on a Tuesday afternoon. Well done to all our Year 5 Reading Buddies.
