"I can do all things through him who strengthens me" - Philippians 4:13
Headteacher's Update

We would like to extend our huge thanks to all the parents who attended the recent parent consultations. Your engagement and feedback are invaluable to us, and we are thrilled to hear that many of you found the discussions beneficial.
We also appreciate those who took the time to complete our latest satisfaction survey. The responses were overwhelmingly positive, with some insightful suggestions on how we can enhance our Federation even further. We are especially proud to share that 100% of respondents indicated they would recommend our schools to others!
Thank you once again for your support and commitment to our community. Together, we can continue to create an exceptional learning environment for our children.
Pond Update

We are very excited to announce that our Pond Fundraising Project has been selected to participate in the 'Tescos Stronger' Starts grants programme. This is where shoppers select which charity they would like to support by posting their blue tokens in their choice of slot, before they leave the store.
Our Pond project will be featured at the Tesco Extra store at Pinchington Lane from Tuesday 28th April 2026 until the end of July 2026. It would be wonderful if our families and community could support this project by shopping at this store and encouraging others to do so please. If successful we could raise tup to £1500 towards our new pond.
We would like to thank the Friends of the Woolton Hill Schools who have set up a crowdfunding page to raise funds for our School Fund - this has already raised an incredible £3428!
SEND Parent Workshop
Join Miss Knapp for this workshop on meeting the needs of pupils with SEND for parents from across the Federation. This takes place at the Junior School at 5pm on Thursday 26th March.
Sporting Events
Lots of our pupils have been in sporting action over the last couple of weeks. Well done to pupils from both Lower and Upper key Stage Two who took part in the Touch Rugby Festival at Newbury Rugby Club. The 8-a-side matches took place in 'variable' weather conditions and a special mention must go to the children from Years 5&6 who braved the storms and got absolutely drenched. Thanks to Mr Stone who went home to bring back warm clothes for the children.
All of the children represented the school brilliantly and showed great skill. Thanks to all of the parents who helped transport the children, without your help the children would not have been able to take part in these events.
Earlier this week children also took part in the annual cross country event at Newbury Showground. Yet again they did brilliantly:
The girl's Year 3 / 4 team finished 13th out of 38 teams
Our top year 3 /4 boy (Oscar) finished 39th out of 355 taking part in this race
Rosie (year 5) was a very impressive 9th in the year 5/6 race out of 348 runners
The boy's Year 5/6 race the team finished 9th out of 40 teams with the boys finishing 35, 37, 60 and 78 out of 391 runners for this race.
Well done and thank you to everyone who participated.

INSET Dates
A few parents have asked if we have set our INSET dates for the 2026/27 academic year. These dates are set to serve the requirements of the Federation Improvement Plan and to ensure our staff training is carried out when it can have the most impact. Our INSET dates will be published in June after the Improvement Plan has been written and after the dates have been approved by the Governing Body.
A reminder that our Next INSET day is Friday 27th March. Term will therefore finish at on Thursday 26th March and will resume at 8.45am on Monday 13th April.
May we take this opportunity to wish all of our families a very Happy Easter.
